FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS?When is payday?The 2007-2008 payroll schedule indicates when payroll checks or direct deposit stubs will be distributed to the schools, departments or mailed. Where do I get my pay stub(s).Pay stubs are currently delivered to the schools during the year, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break, and during the summer. At these times, all pay stubs are mailed to your home. Effective September 30, 2008, Denver Public Schools will switch to electronic pay stubs. You will be able to view and print out your pay stubs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from a district computer or from home. You can also use a library computer, or the computer of a friend or family member. Using your Outlook email login name and password, click on Employee Self Service at https://employeeinfo.dpsk12.org. If you do not have, or have forgotten your login information, please contact the DOTS Hotline at 720-423-3888, or email the Hotline at Hotline, DOTS to get assistance. How can I get direct deposit?Employees are required to sign up for direct deposit. This can be waived only if the employee has a letter from a bank stating the employee is not eligible for a bank account. The direct deposit forms can be obtained by coming to the Disbursing Office at 900 Grant Street, room 403, or through the secretary of your assigned location. You can also obtain the form by visiting our website and clicking on the link: http://budgetandfinance.dpsk12.org/stories/storyReader$36. Why do I have to place a Stop Payment?Employees are required to fill out a stop payment form when they do not receive their paychecks after it has been mailed. What happens if I do not get my paycheck or my paycheck directly deposited due to account closed?After six business days, employees are to contact the Disbursing Office by calling (720)423-3719. After processing a stop payment, the Disbursing Office will reissue a new manual check. For employees who have direct deposit, you still have to contact the Disbursing Office. As soon as your bank returns the funds to us, a manual check will be reissued to you. What if my address is incorrect or I moved?Employees who move or have incorrect addresses are to contact the Human Resources department at (720)423-3900 or http://hr.dpsk12.org. My earnings are incorrect who should I call?If your earnings are incorrect, please call the payroll department at (720) 423-3450 or email the payroll department at dps-payroll@dpsk12.org. I need to change my exemptions, where can I get the W-4 form?If exemptions are incorrect or would like to make a change, please contact the payroll department at (720) 423-3450 or email the payroll department at dps-payroll@dpsk12.org. Can I fill out my direct deposit form and mail it or fax it to the Disbursing Office?Employees can fill out their direct deposit forms and mail it to the Disbursing Office. Completed direct deposit forms should not be faxed to the Disbursing Office since it will not be accepted or processed. Can I have someone pick up my paycheck?Employees cannot have other family members or person pick up their paychecks or stubs. |
